Maybe next reset??

Still stuck on Twins, still trying to get the guild in the right direction.....................................> But it seems impossible because, every single fix/tweak/new strat - always comes the same problems. Soakers miss orbs, soakers die to orbs. Raid doesnt shift, and people die. People can't switch fast enough to kill shields, because they're blinded with the lights.

I remember hitting the wall in sunwell, on M'uru. We did as a guild 230-ish attempts, then we finally got it. But we got closer and closer.. What we're doing here is just blindly wiping to stupid shit, poor play, very poor reaction times.

Personally, i feel we can't do this as a guild. Come tuesday we try a new strat if we can't get another one down. I wish the players in this guild would fucking adapt and not be fucking hand-carried thru mostly fucking everything.

  1. I'll let you know my hump I'm trying to get over with this fight right now: I'm logging on to raid anticipating the animosity between the leaders and the rest of the raiders, and it makes my enthusiasm plummet.

You say all too frequently that this is just a game with simple commands and easy mechanics, and while that is true, it is also a social game where we also have to deal with the personalities of our guildees, which makes those simple and easy game mechanics not so simple and easy. People over complicate them, tunnel vision through raid awareness, and get themselves confused over basic concepts. Why? Well, yeah, the skill issue comes up, but that issue is amplified by people dreading working on the fight.

I know trying to find motivation for the raiders is a bitch. It's stupid and nonsensical to need to get people pumped to down new content and retake our proper place in the server ranks when they should have that drive regardless. But the piss-poor attitude the officers have over this simply does nothing to help. I know you guys are frustrated and angry, but letting that vent out to the entire raid doesn't help. Whatever reverse psychology that had worked in the past is not working now, and I wish I had some better ideas for motivation. This is a new Firefighter, at least for us.

The fall from the euphoria we felt from the successful merger was bound to happen, and I think we are in it now. I definitely think the 50-kill was a booster for moral, and it was a happy spark of good news that I wish would transfer to the 25 man.

Take this how you want - it's all fairly standard burnout issues reiterated. I know I'm not in good graces right now, but it doesn't mean I'm not interested in trying to help the guild do well. I wish we could all be the raiders you want us to be.

  2. Officers are at wits end, because what more do we have to do, to get people willing/able to down content? I read thru parse after parse, and other guilds use less healers/more dps - another parse has 4 total soakers. Another parse has 2 hunters, 2 resto druids, 2 locks. The key there is, they're all willing to raid. This guild has too many people needing motivation to raid.

The officers aren't a motivation type of group. We lack this, because we logon to raid, this is why we play this game. Social aspect is all fine and dandy, but this guild isn't built on that, its built on raiding.

Again i personally think majority of the raiders in this guild have hit their skill-wall, they cannot give anything more. FF or any tough encounter we've faced, we can carry players. Here poor play = wipe. And we're on 50 attempts. FF we would've gotten it, because it would've sunk in. GTOC nope.

  3. Another problem we are having is the so called good players who have no concept of any class other than their own. They firgure since they can do it the start must be great. The first thing we tried depended on our special ed kids to protect us from orbs. Which obviously failed misarebly.

No one has considered the fact that our melee is the strongest part of the guild and yet we devise a start reliant on the casters to magically become better. Usually people actually know the skill level of their raid and devise a start accordingly. We took someone elses strat and said if they can do it so can we.

The overall problem with this guild is we try to put the cube block in the star hole to much. Meaning we try and make things work despit the fact we know our player base can't handle it.

We have players who boast about how great they are and how retarded everyone else is but yet hthe make the poorest raid decisions. You see it everywhere more prevelant in G2. When G2 was learning anub people were crying and moaning about how we couldn't even phase anub and the adds weren't dieing fast enough.

The elitist geniouses weren't even tanking the adds next to the boss. But what does it matter they are top of the dps/healing meters so they must know what they are talking about, right?

The only thing the leadership of the guild can agree on whether it be the officers or the outspoken people is that they don't want to do work to make the guild better. They expect to close their eyes and everything be ok.

There are people who leave raids or bitch untill they get their way become something is not working in their favor. Next there is irrational arguments made people who do not understand any class other than their own and yet still pretend to have an argument. There is never an understanding about how something should be executed just an expectaion.

The original twins strat we used depended on Dks who could drool on the keyboard and press the buttons better then their fingers can. Yet they suddenly become the key to winning the encounter. The fact we even got to 1% was a fluke because of perfect and beatiful RnG. No one seems to realize we bring 2-3 holy pallys, 1 resto shaman, 1 disc priest, and 2 druids to our raids. Whether it be 6 or 7 healers only 2 of those classes are mobile yet we adopt a strat that makes everyone move including healers and we watch as people die from lack of healing and to much dmg.

And we scratch our heads and wonder.... now we come to a point where we FINALLY get a strart the relies on the core of our dps which is the melee. The twins are FINALLY in cleave range with a protected mixed attunement melee. Meaning that bubbles will not be an issue anymore. All the retard casters have to do is abosorb orbs of their own color in a small area to themselves. It is so easy YES WE CAN PUG SOMEONE TO DO IT. 2 attempts at this strart and now we are talking about stacking at the door.

What we seemed to have not learned yet is stacking sucks because if one soaker makes a mistake we all die. Yes we could move but if one person makes a mistake moving WE STILL ALL DIE. Please let us have time for this strat to actually work. Adopting starts from another guild only works if the guild is similar to us in composition, strength, and weakness.

  4. You're nuts if you think this new strategy is a melee-favored strategy. The melee won't ever get empowered light or darkness.
